We've Fallen Behind

I guess the fact that we basically stayed in one place - even though we continued to do a variety of things - meant we felt no pressure to keep up our blog and share what is happening in our lives. Consequently it has been over three months with no entries. So I thought I'd fill in a bit in this blog and then try to do a bit better keeping in touch.

In January, Ken and I enjoyed another curise that took us to Cozumel where we  had the opportunity to visit the church and educational complex that we had helped build during two different mission trips in the 1990s.
Amazingly, our taxi driver was good friends with the person who had helped lead the construction and spent a good deal of time with our groups.  Just a few blocks away was the shopping area right on the water so we did take a little time to see what it was like now - over 25 years later.  It sure has grown but the water remains as gorgeous
On that cruise we also visited Costa Maya which is near Belize and has a great deal of Mayan ruins. Our tour gave us an opportunity to visit a couple of them

We even saw a howler monkey up in a tree trying to reach fruit to eat.  Boy does it have a load screech.
We also participated in the On Deck for the Cure 5 K walk in honor and memory of Beth who was starting her radiation treatments at that time after having her breast lumpectomy.

On Valentine's Day, we joined several other couples from our park on a luncheon cruise on the St. John's River.  The boat was powered by a paddle wheel and took along a beautiful section of the river while we enjoyed a delicious meal and musical entertainment.
