We have arrived at our son's home in Butler, Pennsylvania and were settled in by 3:00 this afternoon.
By dinner the front end was polished removing loads of bugs picked up on the trip. And to celebrate, we took Rachel with us to Mazzanti's for an ice cream. Rachel won a contest there and won not only a gift card but a quart of the ice cream that she suggested they make - coffee dough. She got her card tonight but because of some problems at the place they had yet to make the ice cream. Guess we'll just have to go back another day to get some. :-)
It sure felt good knowing we could just sit still for a couple of days now. Our first day out was only about a six hour driving day but yesterday was closer to ten hours and today was around seven. We're tired of sitting and Ken is worn out from driving all that way.
Jen and Noelle left for Louisville, KY a couple of hours before we arrived. Noelle will be participating in the National Archery Competition with her school team. By the time they return we'll be on our way to Alaska so have to wait till the end of May to see the two of them.
Abbi and Rachel are busy doing the last minute projects for classes which finish this next week. Then it is finals time and they will be done by the end of May -- Abbi will be completely done as she will graduate.
And Dan was off for not one but two meetings at church. But at least we got to see him for a short time this afternoon and during dinner.
