We pulled into our Hillcrest "winter home" in the afternoon of Wednesday, October 22. By the time we were in front of our site and unhooking the car we'd already been greeted by Ellen and Gary, Dale, Mary Gray and Bill Himmelright. Then Frank and Bette Foulke pulled up along side us as we unhooked the car surprising us. How good it was to see them!!!
While getting settled in our spot, Harriett Hinton stopped by as did Jeanette. We truly were feeling welcomed back! In the process we discovered that the Cole's had bought a home down the street from us. While I pulled out all the flower pots from the back of the car that I'd brought from Pennsylvania and put them in place along the patio, Ken got my bike put together and I made a quick run down to see them and tour their new place.
We then joined Frank and Bette and their friends Walt and Noreen for supper at Chilies giving us some time to catch up with all of them and send them off with hugs for their long awaited 3 week trip west for a cruise in the South Pacific - a special 50th anniversary trip.
When we returned to the park, we stopped at the Cole's so Ken could see their place. It was right across from the pool so I ran across to check it out and was shocked to discover that his cousin John was enjoying a good soak. We hadn't realized they were already in. I raced back to the RV and got my suit on and joined him for a chat and my first dip in the pool. We're back in Florida!!!!!! Gosh it felt good!
