A Day at Sea

Monday, April 3, 2017
Since Beth had signed up for the spinning class that met early this morning, she took off on her own to do a walk around the promenade deck and then grab a quick bite to eat before class.  Ken and I took the much more leisurely route getting dressed for the day and then heading up to the buffet to grab breakfast and just talk about what we might like to do after perusing the Princess Patter.

Both of us were determined to get in regular walking so the first step was head to the Promenade Deck and do the three times around to equal a mile.  By that time, I was bushed since I was still trying to build energy again after being sick for so long.  So we called it quits figuring we'd get in lots more walking just getting from place to place during the day.

We found books at the library along with the regular daily Suduko game that I like to do and before we knew it, it was time for lunch.  Beth had returned so we went together and enjoyed our meal out on the back deck where we could watch the wake and enjoy the fresh air.

Beth and I then enjoyed some time in that back pool that was for adults only and then did some people watching and reading as we whiled away in the afternoon - her in the sun and me in a shaded area.

Since this was the only chance in the cruise when they could fit in a formal night, we finally had to return to the room and get ourselves fixed up for dinner. (they only do formal nights on sea days and our only other sea day was the one before returning to port so suitcases had to be packed by dinner).

Unfortunately we didn't get a photo of ourselves all dolled up but we looked pretty darn good when we headed to the dining room.  It is always neat to watch everyone else and see them fixed up extra special so we did enjoy doing that as people came into the dining room including our table mates who arrived before us.  Here are the three of us at our table with the travel route/map
By the time we finished dinner it was time to head straight for the Princess theater for the evening show called DISCO - Blame It On the Boogie.  It was a very upbeat song and dance show with a variety of costumes and backgrounds using alot of special lighting affects.

We then raced off for the Explorer's Lounge with the hopes of catching a seat for the Magic Showtime with Michael Misko.  We made it but the only seats were available were at the far back. Still it was a great show and we were able to see most everything despite all the people moving in front of us as they too tried to finds seats or a viewing spot to stand.

By the time that was over, we were weary and knew we'd be off the ship for our activities in Roatan, Hondurus. Besides we'd already had two time changes in the first two days moving the time back so 9:00 pm on the ship was 11:00 pm to our bodies.
