Back Home into a Routine with Twists

Sunday, April 9, 2017
WOW! It was really cool this morning when we got up - 44 degrees.  But the skies were clear blue and the sun shining.  Plus the weatherman was saying it would be going to 84.  Now that is more like April, at least the 84 part.

The last load of wash was already in the dryer waiting for the button to be pushed when we got up - with that done we would be almost completely settled back in to the house after our wonderful cruise last week with our daughter, Bethany.

We came back to the news that there would be no more church here at the park.  What joy to know we can return to Heritage Bible Church and attend with our friends there with the Santiagos leading services.  How we enjoy this time of worship!

As usual, the service lasted 2 hours and yet seemed to be only a very short time because we were so caught up into first the beautiful music and then the sermon which really was more of a Bible study with us all searching for many different scriptures as we pursued the answer to the question: Is It Wrong to Judge Others.  Each of us had an outline to follow and make notes on as we worked our way through the various aspects of judging.  At the end when there was some congregational sharing a great point was made that it is discernment that we seek - God does the physical judging but we need to be discerning of what is and is not the truth so that we do not just go along with the world rather than truly follow what God wants us to do.

We didn't hang around to chat as we usually do as it was after noon before the service finished and we needed to get home and change before picking up our neighbors Bob and Harriett Hinton and take them to the Golden Corral where we were to meet new Zephyrhills friends Brian and Margaret Bandkau (we met them on the Celebrity Cruise this past winter)  They are good friends of Dave and Donna Rumrill who were also on that cruise and had booked all of us. We had invited the Rumrills to join us as they were at LazyDays  with the Sunshine Rally people but they didn't have a car and Dave was resting as per doctors orders (he was recovering from pancreatitis)

After a delightful lunch and conversation, we drove over to their park (behind WalMart) and enjoyed a tour of their place - 1600 square feet with two lovely porches, a 2 car garage and a car port area on the other side.  Brian has been busily putting on the huge front porch with large windows on all three sides and is close to finished.

We returned home well after 5:00 and quickly tackled a couple of outside jobs trimming the grass and pulling weeds and trimming dead blossoms on flowers before going in to gather together all the info about the campout that starts tomorrow and make a list of food that was needed so I could shop.

It is our hope to get away in the late morning but I have a doctor's appointment at 9:30 so needed to get all the food in bags and ready to haul over in the morning along with my clothes and toiletries. What a full day we've had!  Barely home and then preparing to be off again
