We backed into the pier at Cozumel, Mexico around 7:00 this
morning. What fun to be right in the
rear so we could watch the process.
The sun was just coming up
It took a bit for them to finally get all the way in and
tied up.
In fact, it made quite a show
not only for those on our ship but the Celebrity Equinox Ship on the other side
of the dock. Their balconies were full
of passengers watching us come in.
We had breakfast in the dining room with Bill and Jan Maas
and sat talking so long we were the last ones to leave. The four of us came back to our rooms (we are
just a couple of rooms a part) and grabbed our ID so we could get off the ship
and take a walk to the end of the pier to get a picture of th balcony
to the right in the 2nd tier from the bottom – the 8th
floor.
our ship from the
rear and see our balcony from the ground. We are in the 5th balcony from the left.
We continued the walk to the series of shops along the
waterfront but then decided we’d just like to return to the ship while Bill and
Jan took off to walk up and down the streets and see more of the area.
Ken and I just enjoyed relaxing on the chaises on our
balcony – reading and taking a nap while most of the passengers were off
touring the island or taking in some of the sights. Since we’ve been there several times before
we chose to remember those visits rather than see how much more touristy it has
become.
We did enjoy a long lunch with Dan and Patti Johnson.
After dinner, we enjoyed the production show, Now and
Forever, in the Pacifica Theater. It
featured many numbers from contemporary Broadway productions so not especially
familiar to us but beautifully staged with lots of fancy costumes and scenery
that kept changing with each song.
