All Good Things Must Come to an End

Saturday, April 9, 2016
By 6:30 this morning our ship was back at the Tampa Port and our time aboard was rapidly coming to an end.  We did go up to the Windjammer Cafe for one last breakfast along with a cup of tea before returning to our room to get our carry on luggage and head for the theater where we were suppose to wait for our time to disembark.  But on our way they called our number so we just headed right off.

I stepped out and said, oooo it is cool.  At that point I remembered my jacket back in the room so had to run back to get it while Ken waited for me.  But even so, we were off, on the bus, and back at Lazydays before 9:30 in the morning.  Everything really moved quickly.

We loaded up, waved farewell and headed to COSTCO to pick up 12 dozen eggs for our Mid Florida Winnie campout that starts on Monday.  Then we headed home to put them in the RV and then unpack and do laundry before returning to Lazydays for the Farewell dinner.

The dinner provided one more great meal - Winnebago always goes for the best on their Adventures and Caravans - before we had to say good bye; it's been grand.  The chef at Exit 10 prepared a prime rib along with baked potatoes and green beans with almonds and a tossed salad for our farewell gathering.

On the last night of the cruise, both Donna and Linda won the two prizes offered at the casino.  Linda brought her sparkling wine to the dinner and shared it with everyone there - a taste for all.  Brian did the pouring.
As we were saying goodbye to the Engstrom's they mentioned seeing our Mid Florida Winnie friends Bob and Glenda Christian at the Front Porch Restaurant at Lazydays this afternoon.  So we called and found them parked not far from the clubhouse.  They are packed and ready to go first to our campout at Cedar Key and then to several points of interest before starting the Music Caravan followed later by the Grand Circle Caravan and the Albuquerque Balloon Festival.  What a fabulous few months they have planned.
