On October 2, 2015 we visited this spot with our son and his family (a full blog with pictures and more detail can be found there).
This morning, we met our friends Frank and Bette in the parking lot at Falling Water and had a wonderful time touring Falling Water once again but this time in the spring with all the beautiful greens provided by trees and bushes. It was cool but a very pretty day.
This is the first view you get of the home when coming down the road from the check-in area
This is the entrance area for the house
When standing on the deck closest to the front, you can get these views of the living room
The protruding circular area in front of the flowers is where the stairs are down to the water where you can sit and dangle you feet in the very cold mountain stream water that is flowing rapidly toward the falls that are under the deck off the back area of the living room.
Looking back toward the woods on the deck off the living room you get this view while hearing the water fall drop right below you
From the patio one level up you can look back at the living room area and see this again while still hearing the waterfall below you (note the flowers in the bottom right corner that are in living room)
This is the view from the top deck off the owners bedroom with stairs then to the son's room
And this is the view of the pool on the deck outside the guest house at the top of the hill. The water is not heated as it flows over and down the stream to the waterfall.
This view is of the back of the house where all the garages were (now visitor meeting area) with the employed helps rooms above which now are offices.
Then we took the walk around the outside area of the house catching this view through the trees as we progressed to the viewing area where you can best see the house and waterfall
After our visit we back tracked toward the Pennsylvania Turnpike and enjoyed a long long lunch together just catching up after being apart for over a month. They are in Pennsylvania for their granddaughter, Elizabeth's high school graduation and tomorrow heading back home to Zephyrhills,
Florida.
From there we continued on to their motel just so we could see it as it is quite unique. Here is a shot of the inside of the room. The lodge is right next door to Living Treasures - a favorite zoo type place of our granddaughter Noelle.
