Today is Anders 11th birthday. We were able to celebrate a bit with him while we were in Branson but this weekend he'll have special fun with all of his soccer team mates at a "truck party" at his home. He did get to have his favorite pizza for dinner with two of his Ormberget cousins, Elena and Jake
But his mom's news just 4 days after her birthday is that she has been made an Associate Director at JLL which in that companies language means Vice President!!! Today the announcement was in the Wall Street Journal. What a thrill for her!!! She has always worked hard but today she really has reaped the benefits.
Ken was off to see his eye doctor today and begin the process for getting his cataracts taken care of as it is getting difficult for him to drive at night. Sadly the earliest they could schedule the first eye is August 11 so we are having to reevaluate our plans for the summer. Guess we'll be here in Michigan in this same spot till well into September. It will be nice to be in this area but it does make it hard to carry out some of our plans for seeing people in New York and Ontario as originally planned. Oh well. We do have a nice spot here so we'll just enjoy that!!
Shortly after our walk tonight the sky got super dark, the winds picked up and it poured rain. It has been needed desperately here and we can already see things getting a bit greener as it did the same thing last night too. But tonight we were then treated to sunshine and this rainbow that we could see out of our front window.
