We are now just a few miles from the Nevada border. Today's travels took us from 2000 feet elevation to over 7000 feet elevations after first going back into the central valley that is just above sea level. We have gone from the Yosemite Highway
(truck load of onions)
to another section of the Sierra Nevada range of mountains and lots more green trees
And even a quick peak at the huge Donner Lake near the Donner Pass
A fascinating "mushroom" cloud hung over the road for miles upon end till we were actually under it and then through it
Tomorrow our plan is to drive around Lake Tahoe. We're hoping to see even more green and of course beautiful blue water.
