Ken and I packed up and left Dakota Ridge Campground at 11:00 this morning (that was check out time) and drove about forty miles north to Frederick, Colorado to the Transwest Truck Trailer RV Service Center with the hope they will be able to fix our bedroom slide tomorrow. They have sites where we can plug in and park until our morning appointment.
After lunch, I spent time on the phone making campground reservations for our travels with the Foulkes from Colorado Springs to Tioga, Pennsylvania where we will be camping with a group for a couple of weeks.
Then we drove to the nearby COSTCO to fill the car with gas and get a few items we needed.
The rest of the day we just enjoyed the air conditioning (it got to 95 degrees today) and having some time to relax together quietly.
It wasn't an exciting busy 52nd wedding anniversary celebration day but it was enjoyable.
Frank and Bette have continued on to Colorado Springs and we've been on the phone with them a couple of times about the camping arrangements. Hopefully we'll be back together and seeing more sights by tomorrow evening.
As the sun went down we looked out the window and saw these beautiful clouds. Promise of another wonderful day lay ahead.
