Tuesday was our last day with the boys.
Since Ken had to have the car in the morning so he could go to the dentist and get his crown replaced, I decided to let the boys sleep in while I cleaned the refrigerator - one of those jobs two working parents seldom find time to do. They loved sleeping in!!!! And I enjoyed organizing and cleaning the fridge. And since it was their last day of the four day break from school I let Scott and Jason just enjoy playing computer games and playing music together. It was neat listening to them.
Beth and Dean arrived home just in time to enjoy turkey, baked potato and salad with Jason who had just returned from Cross Country practice. Ken and Scott had had their dinner already since Ken then had to get Scott to the School of Rock for his drum lessons followed by his rock band practice.
Once everything was cleaned up from dinner, Ken and I set off for home - our motorhome. It felt so good to be back in our own bed and surroundings. It's always nice to spend time with the family but oh so good to be back on our own :-)
Wednesday I was going to drive into town to visit with a couple of friends and attend the circle meeting at church but I got lazy and decided we'd done enough driving into town. So I chose to read and work on the computer between doing four loads of clothes. Then once those were done Ken and I went to the movies -- something we haven't done in many months. We had heard how good the War Room was so that is what we went to see. WOW! It was powerful.
Afterwards we drove back to the River Rock restaurant just across from the campground for supper. It is new since we were last here and the lot is always full of cars so we figured it would be a good idea to try it. We're glad we did. The food was delicious!!
One of the things I received on the computer was a picture of a few of the Mid Florida Winnies holding pennant table decorations that will be used for the October Winnie Gators meeting that our group is hosting. Susan Kiefer had asked for suggestions for a theme, decorations and activities awhile back and I had suggested Homecoming as a theme with a tail gate dinner, and pennants for table decorations in the Winnie Gators colors. Several other of my suggestions are also going to be used. Sure wish we could be there but happy to know I could help from a distance.
