Another Day in Michigan

Wednesday, September 9, 2015
Ken left at 9:00 this morning for two different doctor appointments far enough away that it was easier just to have lunch out, shop for a short time and then go to the second one before returning home in the late afternoon.  He got great reports from his primary doctor and the eye doctor (except he will need cataract surgery next spring)

Meanwhile, I stayed at the campground and spurred on by remarks in Nick Russell's daily blog this morning about the need to constantly keep cleaning out to keep the weight of the motorhome at or below its max, tackled the job of cleaning out some cabinets and reorganizing them.  And while I did that ran several loads of wash through the washer and dryer.  The skies were grey and the humidity and heat high outside so it was a great day to stay inside and get some necessary jobs done.

After dinner tonight, Ken and I walked around the entire campground noting just how few vehicles are presently here.  The kids are back in school so basically everyone still out here is in our category - retired and free to just enjoy the beauty and quiet.  The skies had cleared and sun came out making it all the more beautiful as we walked by the beach and across the island filled with trees.

The rains finally quit and it actually started to cool off some tonight so after our walk we decided to just enjoy sitting outside - Ken watching the Tiger game on TV and I chose to read a book.  You can see by the picture below that we have a gorgeous big campsite.
One of the nearby campers stopped by to chat for a bit.  It turns out we both live in Florida in the winter and she knows two different couples who live in our Florida park. In fact, one of the couples is her aunt and uncle.  It really is a small world.

As the sun went down the skies filled with color and gave promise of a beautiful day tomorrow.
