Our travels today took us from Greenfield, OH (near Columbus) to Mantua, OH (near Cleveland). Frank and Bette had made arrangements to spend some time with a Sister who she had spent a good deal of time with in Florida working on the Prison Ministry and participating in Bible studies and other activities at their church.
Meanwhile, we were just going to relax for the day - that is until our wonderful daughter in law made the arrangements for us to meet at a central point and share dinner and time together. We haven't seen them since last October so we were thrilled to be able to do this.
So we drove to Youngstown, OH and met the five of them at the Springfield Grille. How wonderful it was to spend a couple of hours with them!!!!
Shortly before we got there, we got a text message from our daughter Beth that Scott's band won the Blues contest and would be going to Nashville, TN in January to participate in the International Blues Festival. What exciting news for Leah and the Troublemakers. They've practiced hard this summer and participated in many concerts and programs sharing their music. This was the ultimate payoff for them. Here they are playing
